Siavash Shams

 

Siavash Shams (born 26 January 1963) is an Iranian singer, songwriter, composer and record producer. His family moved to Tehran when he was 5 years old. After finishing primary school, at the age of 13, he and his older brother moved to the United States. He studied computer and music at univeristy. Siavash married his long-term friend and his programs’ manager, Caroline, and together they adopted two children.
He sang the song ’Neda’ to commemorate Neda Agha Soltan, who was killed by the militia during people’s protests following the presidential election in Iran in 2009.
