Peaceful Rally of Protesters from Imam Khomeini Sq. to Revolution Sq.

As a reaction to Mirhossein Mousavi’s call to commemorate the victims, hundreds of thousands of protesters wore black and gathered at Imam Khomeini Square and eventually started the rally while carrying flowers and candles. In this event Mousavi was in black costumes and once again called the last days’ victims “Martyrs.” The same event happened in Shiraz. Yousef Sanei and Mousavi Ardebili –Islamic clergies- condemned the violence against the protesters. At the same time, the Guardian Council asked the opposing candidates to attend its next session to solve the problem. A report on the military forces’ attack on University of Tehrans’ dormitory in the Islamic Parliament brought up hard challenges between parliament delegates. A rumour regarding the death of the person who released the real result of the election was circulating around the country. Political activist’ arrests increased dramatically on this day and information based on some resources indicated that 500 protesters were arrested.
